 JAZZ FOLK 1hourmusic 006
Peter Scherr - Bass/Matt McMahon - Piano/Simon Barker - Drums

Bassist/composer Peter Scherr, a long time resident of Hong Kong, is committed to bringing creative music to the Asia Pacific region, and is delighted to announce the release of this new record featuring Matt McMahon and Simon Barker in his trio Jazz Folk. In this recording, the trio explores music of compelling simplicity. These are great songs that have not yet found their way into the jazz catalogue. Songs by artists such as Nick Drake and Elliott Smith are featured along with original compositions. A dreamy mood prevails, but the music builds to surprising intensity at times.
